A healthy mind lives in a healthy body.

Story of how good food is reviving a child with cancer.

Mohenuddin Molla is a 7-year-old boy from Barasat, a city in West Bengal, who was busy studying and dreaming of fast cars. 2020 slowed our lives down because of the pandemic. Still, for Mohenuddin and his family, things got worse when he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukaemia (ALL) by the end of an already devastating year.

Despite these setbacks, Mohenuddin raced towards growing stronger by following his prescribed treatment and diet plan. Nutritious food ensured that he steadily gained weight and could tolerate the high dosage of chemotherapy.

Moumita, our nutritionist at Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre & Research Institute, Kolkata, put him under our Supplement, In-Meal, and Ration Programs post his diagnosis. She says, “With the help of the Cuddles’ nutritional programs, diet plans, and follow-ups, Mohenuddin’s nutritional status improved from severely thin to well-nourished within a few months. Between December 2020 to March 2021, Mohenuddin gained four kgs. His mother also has a huge role to play in his recovery. She is extremely receptive to all our recommendations.”

Lilufa, Mohenuddin’s mother, is grateful for the timely help that gave her son a second chance at life. She says, “If Cuddles Foundation was not there, my child would not have survived. I feel very confident about my son’s recovery and would like to tell others that childhood cancer is curable. Please do not lose hope.”

Over the last year, Mohenuddin’s physical and mental health has improved considerably. He has gone from being a silent child to someone who interacts with everyone. They say that healthy minds live in healthy bodies. Thanks to you, Mohenuddin is making a steady improvement in both aspects.
